The netCCM Infrastructure Runtime Environment (IRE) can be installed on one or several servers. The Network Management Console, which is part of netCCM IRE, can then install an Assembly created with netCCM Studio into this runtime environment. During the installation the components that are do not belong to a client according to the application model of the Assembly will be associated with a server and subsequently be installed there over the network. The runtime environment that is installed there generates infrastructure code that will make the component accessible on the network.
For a client defined in an Assembly the IRE runtime environment creates an executable program. Its behaviour is determined by the components that it contains. This program also contains infrastructure code for each component that makes the components accessible on the network after the start of the client program. On top of that the generated initialisation code ensures that the client can be run on any machine without further configuration and can use all the components that belong to its Assembly.
The Infrastructure Runtime Environment automatically creates a flexible, distributed software system from a single-user/single-place application created with netCCM Studio.
